Yes, the river is big here in Craig, Montana - 18,000 cfs below Holter this evening. Swollen is another word for it...it's fishy too. Riggindeep in these flows, with lots o lead, is key. Some banks have us throwing short with a couple of BBs and double SJWs. They ate the pmd and caddis stuff today and the crayfish as well. It wasn't epic, but the trout seemed like they wanted to get on the bite at times, only to slide off and decide otherwise. All in all, a good day. Switching flies around was helpful, but it's funny how you end of fishing the same rig at the end of the day as you did right out of the gate.
